What happened
End of service after two years
Ubisoft announced in January 2022 that it would end development and shut Hyper Scape down on April 28. IGN and GamesIndustry.biz both reported the post.
Hyper Scape launched free to play on August 11 2020 on PC (Ubisoft Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was not sold on Steam. On January 27 2022, Ubisoft said it would end development and shut the game down on April 28 2022. IGN and GamesIndustry.biz published the statement. Ubisoft did not give a commercial reason beyond taking learnings into future projects.
Servers closed on the announced date. No public development budget was disclosed.
