Studio said the game was not financially viable
Yager's June 2023 announcement, reported by Eurogamer, said development would end and servers would close on September 27 2023.
Yager launched The Cycle: Frontier's 1.0 on June 8 2022. On June 28 2023, Eurogamer reported the studio's announcement that the extraction shooter was not financially viable. Servers closed on September 27 2023.
Yager's Steam news post said players would not be able to spend more money before the close, and that the game would not be accessible after 9:00 CEST that morning.
